he Cabinet on Thursday approved the draft of an anti-corruption Lokpal Bill — to be introduced in the Monsoon Session of Parliament from August 1 — that does not include the Prime Minister, judiciary or the conduct of MPs inside the house.

Information and broadcasting minister Ambika Soni said the Lokpal will have eight members, half of whom will be from the judiciary. The chairman will also belong to the judiciary. Soni, who addressed the media along with law minister Salman Khursheed and minister of state in the Prime Minister’s Office V. Narayanasamy, said qualifications have been laid down for the non-judicial members of the panel.

Let us go through its details to ascertain if it meets the aspirations of the people!
Let us see the implementation of it .Everybody should be covered in it.
The Union cabinet has set the ball rolling. The bill will be presented before parliament and most probably referred to a parliamentary committee for further discussion afterwhich parliament will pass the bill either in the original form or with amendments.

Team Hazare have done their job by highlighting importance of institution of Lok Pal. Now the role of so called civil society is over. Their proposed fast from 15th august will be unproductive, undemocratic and unconstitutional. Law is made in parliament and not at Jantar Mantar. In a constitutional republican system, everyone- citizens, legislature, administration have their reasponsibilities and power as well as limitations. Disregarding constitutional limitation can result only in anarchy which no government may allow.

Cabinet has approved Lok Pal Bill. Thus the process is begun. The parliament may pass the bill as it is or amend. The best coirse for all sections would be to debate the bill in parliament and if there are any short comings to propose amendments. Those outside parliament can express views through media and communicate with government and MPs.

But anna does not believe in constitution and patliamentary procedures. He wants government to agree to his every word irrespective of constitution. He is adamant on his unlawful and coercive indefinite fast. Delhi administration rightly allowed the fast only on one day as many other groups aslo need to book Jantar Mantar. Obviously, anna cannot monopolize the site.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has also stated that it is okay to keep PM out of Lok Pal ambit. There are justifiable reasons to keep PM out of tha Lok Pal ambit. There are many unscrupulous elements who may use the Lok Pal provisions to destabilize government and create anarchic conditions.

Lok pal Bill Bill be tabled in parliament today. Now this will be property of parliament and Anna Hazare's fight if any will be with parliament and not cabinet.

The Lok Pal Bill has been presented. Lok Pal will be empowered to investigate and if the allegations found correct, he will refer the cases to concerned Minister or department.

Although Lok Pall Bill is already tabled in parliament and is now subject to parliamentary proceedings, the Anna Hazare movement continues without any basis. There is also online campaign for strong Lok Pal. It appears that there is herd mentality among so called intellectuals too. Now the ball is in court of parliament and we have to wait for collective wisdom of parliamentarians elected by us.

I am happy to note that you have written an article on this topic. I shall definitely go through this. I have also read your article on writing correct English by proper verb usage and found this useful.
Lok pal Bill is in process. We progress gradually. all or nothing is not proper attitude. Team Hazare appears bent on getting fully whatever they demand and cannot wait.

Anna Hazare team is raising too many expectations from Lok Pal Bill. Aruna Roy slams lack of public debate on this issue. An impression is being created that Anna Bill if passed will remove all ills.
