It is not playing any role now a days they are giving support their like ones it is not taking any part now
To stay on the side of truth - not to make news of its choice - to not depict events in their juandiced vision and stop putting out paid news!
Here all the political parties has it`s own media and spreading news for their political purpose only......
Media can unburden its moral responsibility by propagating fearless and fare information from the public to the higher ups and vice versa.

They can play a vital role here by informing the politicians and the leaders elected by the public that what is their choice and what do they want. After all, they are supposed to work in the interest of public as they are public's representatives.
In recent times we have paid news and embedded news to influence people! It's a funny situation to be in - news becoming views and views becoming news!
Media should be honest.THey should not hype a condition extra ordinarily.
The crux of the problem lies in the ownership of these media houses and big money is into it.Thus we see these kinds of deviations!
The three wings of state are executive, judiciary and parliament. Press or media is considered as fourth estate. Press/ media has successfully highlighted many scams and irregularities and crimes. They also suffer for this. Recently, a crime reporter in Mumbai was killed by Mafia.

Independent media is necessary for democracy. It is also true that there are many drawbacks in media. But this is true about all.
We are here to discuss the shortcomings or the deficiencies of the media in India. The greatest shorcoming that grips it is complete absence of follow-up.Important events are covered in banner headlines but in a matter of a few days any report on them is not seen even on the last page!

Media runs on commercial lines. What they publish must have 'news value'. Howsoever significant an item is, becomes stale after some time and people lose interest. Then another new development acquires news value and is publicised day and night. It is the media perception of public interest in news that matters.
Then let us treat the media as purely commercial organizations and not bestow on them any more respect than they deserves by calling them as 'fourth estate'!! Quite a glaring contradiction here!
