    This is a superstition. Surprisingly, many educated persons wear such gems. Many TV channels are telecasting advertisements for these. This is very disgusting state of affairs.

    My stand is that it only benefit the sellers of so-called gems amd stones at the cost of buyers who stand to gain nothing!

    This is really a matter of perverse thinking and not weakness of mind. Therte are many even among educated, who believe more in gems, horoscope, stars, planets, astrologers and palmists. Even if such person receives head injury in an accident, he will not blame his not wearing helmet and rash driving. He will check with astrologer as to what went wrong with his stars.

    I think all it stems from the weakness of minds to which a large section of our people vulnerable to! There are blind spots in our minds which refuse to accept the realities of life!
