Do you think competitive exams determine the calibre of a person?

All the competitve exams have a narrow focus of judging a candidate in relation to particular positions and it's obvious enough that under this process overall calibre of a person is not done!
I don't think that competative exams could truely determine the over all capabilities of a candidate.
Competititve exams have limited scope in determing a person's calibre. The same person may perform better or worse at another time. Hence, interview and group discussion also held. Also an individual has potential for betterment.

I don`t think competitive exams determine the calibre of a person in our country..
But Uk and USA exams are much better than our country because they uses more practical and oral competitive exams....
In my point of view,only the competitive exams cannot determine the calibre of a person.
The present day competitive exams does not determine the calibre of a student.It just checks his grasping capacity.

yes the exams do it . they calculate the intelligence of the candidate. they pick up the pin point of the concept and asks the questions the candidates who thoroughly studies the concepts from top to bottom only can get succeed.

competitive exams are of different types . some are easy and some not. rather than this these exams describe the intelligence of students.
