Ved Vyas was the author of the epic. Ganesh was like a stenographer. He simply got dictation and composed nothing himself.

Lord Ganesh whom we call as Shri Vinesh was wrote the Mahabharata of the two epics narrated by Sage Ved Vyasa. It is a sacred book of Hindu and mostly found in every house of hindu along with ramayan.
