Why does'nt other sports in India get any attention?

Other sports should also get sponsorship for growing and competing with cricket, golf, tennis etc...

Players of any sport need their security for survival. In India Olympians are found living in stark poverty.

We need to make arrangements for their bread and butter for running their lives and that of their families.

I don't think anything of that sort is done for any cricketer.

Don't you think every sport should get equal grants, and their should be more infrastructure built to promote sports other than Cricket.

Peoples' partcipation and popularity play a very vital role. Indian people have popularized cricket. In fact, cricket is not sponsored by Govt but by the peple. The govt. sposor all games but there is much to be done to enable us to perform at international level. Our position in Olympics and other forus is not good. The triabl areas particularly are best to select god sportsmen.

Correct they are getting enough to run their lives, from these endorsements / sponsorships.

Well, for me all we have to do (to give all sportsperson their living) is make them popular, by watching more sports, by appreciating their performances, by recognizing their talent, by giving them platforms to compete healthily.

I mean career prospects and assurance for a secured future.
