Such bizarre decisions are being taken by local bodies/ caste panchayats in western U.P. districts Meerut and around. Apparently, the Panchayat has only one use of mobile phone in mind viz. communication between lovers. That is why only unmarried girls are restricted from using phones. I wonder why similar ban is not on unmarried boys. I also wonder why they do not ban mobile phones even by married women so as to check extra marital relations.

This is all sad, disgusting and also funny.

This khap panchayat seems to be slowly and steadily going the Taliban way! Next they will forbid girls from stepping outside their homes without a male relative to chaperone them!

Another mindless fiat from some perverted minds! Atrociously ridiculous!
Sounds funny and feel sick of such minds who always blame techonology instead of blaming the people...
It is really ridiculous and sick of these panchayat people whose mindset prevents them of thinking else than such stupid things....
It is strange one.But I thibk it is to be banned among school students

Its very strange one, to ban. I didn't understand what's the logic to ban the mobile phone only for unmarried girls.

Such panicky reaction on their part only goes to show that young generations are challenging them and trying to break free!!
