CWG games might be called off !!

The ill-preparedness of the Games Village has even irked the Commonwealth Games Federation with its President Michael Fennell shooting off a letter to Indian Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar, asking him to take immediate steps to address the issue.
The buildup to the Delhi Games has been marred by corruption controversies and problems related to construction and security concerns. He said it would be very hard for the athletes to concentrate on their events with uncertainty looming large over the Games.

what can we expect from the bunch of jokers like kalmadi company but it is the fault of congress government who failed to step in time .

This will be good. Commonwealth membership itself is symbolic allegiance to British crown. We should not only call off the games but also withdraw from the commonwealth, which is nothing but gathering of ex slaves of British empire, who still are proud of this slavish past. The other members like Australia, Canada are predominantly whites and have no problem in owing allegiance to British crown. U.S.A. is also not a commonwealth member. any self respecting nation claiming sovereignty cannot be commonwealth member.

It is really sad to hear when some other country men say that none of the preparations are up to the mark. :(

Yes--- After seeing the bridge collapse near the CWG stadium, I was shocked...

Now what's the point in employing 125 mcd workers to clean up the CWG village? :(

It's a prestige issue.The governement of India should keep in mind the prestige of India

Indian prestige is out there in dustbins after teams raise issue of hygiene and sanitation. leave alone the case of work not being complete !!

I think the only person who must be delighted at this turn of events is Mani Shankar Aiyar!!!

Had it happened in a civilized country the government could have been brought down on this issue alone!!!

I think the time is itself is not suitable as DElhi is experiencing floods..However, it is really prestige which is at risk

Citing floods or rains won't hide our shameful failures.We have had years to prepare ourselves for!

It's very scandalous state of affairs! What else one can say?

Indian government requested to host the Common Wealth Games in 2003. It was Mr. Vajpayee's BJP govt at the center then. BJP and Mr. Vajpayee, they should have thought of Congress's incapability.

All these are indicators of a falling and failing system!Very serious situation,indeed!

It is defientely difficult situation and our incapability is clearly shown...

None of the countries have good hope on India. According to them, India is a country which is a sick place which is totally unhygienic.

It is really a shameful act.
