Thanks for sharing the news Abid, overexposure to loud and amplified music continuously plays havoc with the natural function of your ears. Also since powerful magnets are used in speakers, there is a risk of exposure to electromagnetic radiation as well.

Unfortunately the FDA has cleared the ipods calling it a safe device. Although there have been evidences that the EMR from such gadgets interfere with pacemakers too.

Very useful information and link. Too much music and sound definitely damages our hearing power. But the modern way of living is irreversible despite all ill effects.
