I think the departments which has more opportunities to deal with public are more corrupted. For eg. In Transport department they get money from public to give licenses for vehicles.
Well, I think in India there must be a competition amongst the various departments to see who takes more bribes!! At various times, people from a variety of departments are being caught accepting enormous bribes! :(
Recent example being Ketan Desai of Health dept> who was caught hoarding 1800 crores in cash at home!!
Personnel of all departments belong to same social set up and have similar character. The money power is in hand of the industrialists and business men. They corrupt the entire system for their benefit. Accordingly, the Departments concerned with industry and business are most corrupt. Thus, Income Tax, customs & Central Excise, Sales, Labor Deptt. are most corrupt. As regards volume in term of cash, customs & Central Excise is most corrupt. As regards number of transactions relating to corrupt practice, the police and RTO organizations lead.
As a matter of fact, government departments are not corrupt. This is the money sections in society who encourage corruption to their advantage and the poor are losers.
Yes well said, all the departments are corrupted...People in India have to face many corrupted department from birth to death..The citizen are the creator of corruption and finally i think they only should remove it for the development of India.
Our people are so used to it that in foreign countries they try to give bribe where strictly actions are taken for giving/taking bribe. They are ready to take the risk.
