Is India having a better army power than USA and UK?

I think that's not possible to assess. Why are you asking such a question first of all?

India has better Army than that of U.S.A. and Britain. But U.S.A. has far better Air Force. Similarly, Indian army is better than that of Britain. But the Navy of Britain is better.
This is because traditionally and for geographical reasons, India attaches more importance to army. Navy and air force are suuport forces for the Army, which is main.

I don't know the exact status of strength of these repsective countries.But to compare our military might with the USA is not a realistic one.As it is heavily dependent on advanced technnology and we still depend on conventional sources.I would like to have more authentic information in this regard from members.

may me we have more armed personals than these countries. But they are more equipped and trained

India has the second largest manpower in its military globally - at 3,773,300 personell (2005), next only to China. Pakistan has a much smaller manpower of 1,449,000 personell which is proportionally higher than India in terms of their population ratios.

No. India doesn't have much power than USA. I don't know about UK. USA is very strong.

You are right Rakesh USA is very strong. They have better Gun and Topes then India but India can be best in future.

With sophistication coming in a big way in military hardware and software we are lagging far behind even China!

Yes india is still backward in case of defence. We and pakistan are not able to control inner attacks done by maoists and terroist. I know it is not the responsibilty of army to contol inner problem but if any wound not healed internally how can you expect it to be heal completely...

When coming to army and airforce we are not having any powerful weapons to destroy enemies and due to this many army persons were killed.Similarly is the case of airforce, lot of mechical failures caused in death of pilots due to use of cheap missionary(as shown in film Rang de Basanthi). Coming to NAvy it is the most weakest of all as sudden attacks at any naval hubs can not be handled and it is very easy to enter from sea route.

So we still need to invest and plan well though political invovlement will always be there. Quality should be given preferance than quantity..

India has been trying to modernize and updrade her defence facilities but here again corruption is an issue.In the past we have seen how defence contracts bred a selfish clan of brokers who compromised with quality and made India buy sub-standard defence equipments.
