abid- I agree. Heaven and hell we make. I remember a story. An engineer was sent to hell. A priest was sent to heaven. One day God inspected hell and heaven. He found that Hell was very good place with roads, air conditioned buildings, cell phones and all facilities. On the other hand, heaven was very dirty and living conditions were very difficult. On inquiry, it was revealed that the Engineer had turned hell int a very decent place whereas lethargic pious men spoiled the heaven.
 Nice tale...Thanks for sharing...ACtually i too agree that heaven and hell are here and who knows what really happens after death...is there a place called heaven or not?
There are so many things which we can't see but they exist.. Everything can not be perceived ... and since we are not able to perceive certain things ...It doesn't mean they can be discarded..:) :)
Rajani K- On death our body ends. Even if there is life after death, this is only soul. Soul is nonperishable and is unaffected by heat, cold etc. so, you may neither enjoy nor suffer if you are only soul. Moreover, even brain is part of your body. So soul is without brain also. As such, there is no pleasure or pain for soul and so there can be neither heaven nor hell for a soul that is non physical.
Look, there is no place like heaven or hell.. We people make our lives heaven or hell by our deeds or karma... if we hv satisfaction in wht we hv done in our life, then the place whr we dwell, becomes Heaven for us.. if there is no peace, thn the life becomes hell
No Chinmoy- Souls have no mass and no weight. These need no space. so no question of over crowding and also no need for any facilities like buildings, transport etc.
I found ths quite intesresting and thought provoking quote by
Dr. Werner von Braun, well-known for his part in pioneering the U.S. space program. He said that he had "essentially scientific" reasons for believing in life after death. He explained: "Science has found that nothing can disappear without a trace. Nature does not know extinction. All it knows is transformation. If God applies the fundamental principle to the most minute and insignificant parts of the universe, doesn't it make sense to assume that He applies it to the masterpiece of His creation -- the human soul? I think it does."
Kalyani- Dr. Werner Braun's statement suffers from contradictions. No doubt Science has found that nothing can disappear without a trace. Science knows only physical body that does not just vanish but is burnt or buried. Thus this is transformed int soil or gas. The concept of transformation cannot be applied to soul, which has no physical existence like mass, weight or other attributes.
