It is interesting to note that the British have 650 MPs which means one MP for every hundred thousand people and if we are to implement this ratio we would end up having thirteen thousand MPs!!

Friends,

You have not looked at another aspect that is the amount of noise these MPs would produce. Now what we witness on the floor of Parliament.I just shudder at the thought!!!
If 13,000 MPs are there, then parliament have to be shifted to the big stadium in Delhi.I am just imagining how it will be

We can also think of accommodating them at Pragati Maidan!!!
The Indian parliament cannot follow the pattern of British parliament. The large and densely populated states have to select delegate representing more people.

Well, if we have 13000 MPs, all we need to do is buy a huge circus tent and we are good to go!!

But jokes apart, Britain can very well afford to have those many MPs because the way systems work there , they need people to keep everything running meticulously. Public welfare and satisfaction of social needs is of utmost concern there whereas in India it is exactly opposite.

Yes Kalyani, the existing number of MPs in India has proved to be quite a handful!! Thought of any increse just sends shivers down my spine!!
Even it is 13000 or 130 just 5% of them are doing good for people here.So no matter in number as far as welfare is concerned.
