Hello Meean, I think both are the very good degrees to have but in different fields, as MBA is for management but CA is something related to Accounts. Both requires hard studies, I think more job stability is in MBA, because you can get a job in a bank or industry at fix basis, on the other hand CA is more tough to clear and getting job for CA is 5out of 10..I hope I am right..& this information will help you.

My take is that both these are much sought-after ones but in the case of MBA unless one holds an MBA degree from reputed B-Schools by cracking CAT, it is not worth having it.Chartered Accountancy is specialized field in finance and accounts whereas MBA is in the realm of business administration and mangement offering specialization in both finance and marketing etc.Age is also an important factor C.A.Those who make it at fairly young age, land themselves up in MNCs and others with great remuneration package.
I think MBA is best option for career. In CA lot of hard work need to achieve good height but you able to get MBA certificate then lot of line will open for job.

CA has limited opening for job but MBA demand is everywhere. So best is to select MBA instead of CA.

MBA is always the best option among the two as you are talking about the job reliability......
CA is hard to clear not just because of the Competition but also the format...... Whereas MBA is always easy to get the certificate...... Also you will get a reliable job when you successfully complete MBA rather than CA.......

MBA is a general degree. One must first acquire degree in a particular profession and then go for MBA. MBA by itself is not so useful. The most important professions are engineering, accountancy, architecture, medicine. According to aptitude, one should first get degree in the sphere of his interest. Suppose that one has a degree in engineering, he may get MBA that will put him in a position better than mere engineering degree holder.
This is because management by itself means nothing. You have to manage a hotel, a hospital, an engineering concern and so on. Thus mere management qualification like MBA by itself does not mean much.

I think CA is the most promising one.MBA has a number of specialisation and many candidates are also available.

To my mind what Gulshan says is very pragmatic. As I have pointed out earlier that CAs are professional accountants and MBA is a managemnt degree and there can be several branches of it - even IT,treasury management etc.
Top performers in the creamy layers always succeeds in any field. Only the average and below averages has to worry about these trend settings and all.
I agree with Guru. The most important part of career making is to decide the particular job line, accountancy, legal, engineering, medicine etc. Having chosen the line, the next step is to study hard and acquire the appropriate qualification. every branch of activity has a management component and so MBA is a desirable qualification for those aspiring to reach the top. But this is additional and not main qualification.
