Today a nation-wide bandh has been called by some political parties and West Bengal is at the fore front of it.The amazing thing about it here the State Administration whose task is to maintain normalcy in public life keeps a hands-off policy indirectly lending support to it which means loss of income to the daily wage-earners and small business men and shop-keepers. What are your thoughts about 'bandh' as a political tool?

Bandh must be Bandh. It affects normal life and daily earners.
This practice must be stopped. It affects the economy of nation.
Can we estimate how many man-hours and productivity are lost due to this bandh?

Constitution must be amended to stop this ugly practice.
By doing this dont you guys think it would be hinderance to freedom to express your protest.
Organizing Bandh is undemocratic. There are other means like voicing concern in parliament, through press and holding mass meetings without causing disturbances. Bandhs do not serve any purpose.
Bandh Politics is causing the situation uncomfortable for the common man and daily labour......
Apart from obstructing normal life, public property has been damaged at many places. This is disgusting. The Bandh organizers should consider this.
Here political parties can do anything. We public people have to suffer all.
AS members of public, we should support in elections only the parties that go by norms of democracy and do not indulge in heinous acts like burning of public property and creating nuisance to public life.
I read in newspapers that the bandh has not affected the normal life that much.Anyway our political parties do whatever they wish.
Mean,
In those states which is ruled by these parties Hartal had affected.Kerala had affected badly.
Meean- There have been disturbances in U.P. and public property like buses burnt. Where the bandh organizers are not strong, the life was peaceful.
