Sachin took up Cricket at the age of 11.
Represented India for Domestic & International Cricket for almost 24 years.
He did his Test Debut against Pakistan at Karachi on 15-11-1989 when he was just 16.
He is the only batsmen in the world to score the maximum number of International Centuries, the 1st batsmen to score a double century, the only batsmen to score maximum number of runs in Test & O.D.I. and the only player to score more than 30,000 runs in International Cricket.
He is known as the Little Master / Master Blaster / God Of Cricket by Indian Cricket Followers.
Once he stated that "I am not the God Of Cricket. I make mistakes, God Doesn't"
Sachin scored 0 - Runs in his first 2 ODI's (One Day International's) & he got out on the second ball in both the matches but scored 2 half centuries in Six - Test innings.
He played under the captaincy of Krishnamachari Srikkanth during the series in Pakistan.
In 1990, our Master Blaster knocked his maiden Test Century of 119 not out with 17 four's against England at Old Trafford in England which helped India to save the match to victory.
In 1991, Sachin played an impressive knock of 52 not out against Pakistan at Sharjah which ended defeating the arch rivals at the venue.
Not only this, our Little Master also came into prominence in the same tournament as a bowler taking 4/34 against the West Indies which resulted in a comprehensive win for India.
In 1992, it was now time for the Aussies to face the God of Cricket (Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar). & as he once stated, God doesn't make mistakes, & with no mistakes he knocked a fantastic 114 in Perth Test against Aussies.
India also defeated Pakistan at the Sydney World Cup 1992 when Sachin played a match winning 54 not out and took the wicket of Aamir Sohail which won him the man of the match award.
In the year 1993, South Africa needed only six runs of six balls at the Hero-Cup & Sachin had to bowl the last over, with 3 dot balls, Sachin made India defeat the Proteas by 3 runs.
This last over from Sachin got etched in the minds of Indian fans forever.
Sachin scored his 3rd Test Century & 1st (165) in India at Chennai against England.
Thursday, March 24, 1994, a new legend was born in Auckland, New Zealand at Eden Park, our very own Master Blaster, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, who for the first time in his Cricketing Career opened an ODI for India against New Zealand.
It was the 2nd ODI match of the 4 match series between Indian & New Zealand.
He took the world by storm by scoring 82 runs off just 49 balls.
In the year 1994, he also scored his 79th ODI century against Australia in the Singer Cup in Colombo, Sri-Lanka. It was the quadrilateral tournament hosted by Sri-Lanka and played by Australia, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka and India.
There was no looking back for Sachin, he signed his life’s first ever contract worth Rs. 3.5 Crore with WorldTel, for five-year commercial endorsements and marketing deal.
In the year 1996, it was time for India to host the Wills World Cup (38 ODI’s. Feb 15 - Mar 16).
Major pressure on Sachin of expectations of the fans, the country, the team management and selectors.
He was the leading run scorer of the Wills World Cup 1996, scoring 523 runs and also the 2nd to score 2 Centuries after ME Waugh with 3 Centuries.
He took over the captaincy from Mohammad Azharuddin after his splendid performance in India’s of England.
Under his captaincy India leads to a Test Series victory over Australia in one-off Test at Delhi which was followed by a Test Series win over South Africa at a Tournament hosted by India.
1996 was the year where Sachin’s ability to handle the Indian Cricket Team and his performance in cricket was Tested simultaneously.
Sachin’s positive attitude towards himself and his team made India win the Titan Cup by beating Australia and South Africa.
Sachin scored his 10th Test Century (177) against England during his third test at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
He also achieved his 10th ODI century in the same year in the Pepsi Challenge match against South Africa at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India.
Indian Cricket team was all in favor of Sachin leading the Indian Cricket Team by all means. This gave Sachin only one thing, that is pressure.
In the year 1997, he led India to a victory against Pakistan in the second edition of the Sahara Cup at Toronto.
He won the Wisden Cricketer of the year award in the same year.

The “Bible of cricket” was founded in 1864. John Wisden – also known as “The Little Wonder” – was a prominent cricketer of the mid-nineteenth century. In 1850, he took ten wickets in an innings – all bowled – in a North vs South encounter at Lord's, England.
In the year 1998, India again led to a massive 179-run victory against Australia with Sachin scoring an unbeaten 155 in the third test at Chennai.
Sachin scores back-to-back centuries against Australia at Sharjah in the tri-series also involving New Zealand.
Sachin reached his 20th ton during the year 1998 against Zimbabwe at Sharjah.
In the Year 1999, Sachin was just 26 when he completed 8000 runs in his 217th match in ODI’s format in International Cricket vs Pakistan at Manchester in the World Cup.
He scored his first Test Double Century (217-runs against New Zealand) in Ahmedabad.
Year 1999, was a year where he achieved best of his abilities by also scoring his 20th Test ton vs New Zealand at Mohali. Completes 50 catches in Test Cricket in his 70th Test match vs New Zealand at Kanpur.
Year 2000, In just about 285 days Sachin scored a 1000 more runs reaching the mark of 9000 runs in ODI’s in his 242nd match and also completing 6000 runs in Test Cricket format in his 76th match vs South Africa at Bangalore.
Later in just 24 ODI matches, Sachin scored another 1000-runs to achieve a milestone of scoring 10000-runs in ODI cricket. He achieved this in his 266th match held in the Year 2001.
Sachin brings up his 30th ODI Hundred in Johannesburg against South Africa. He sets a unique record for hiself this year of 10000-runs and 100 wickets.
In 2002, Sachin equals to “The Don” by scoring his 29th Test Century. He scored 117-runs vs West Indies at Port-of-Spain and equals Sir Donald Bradman’s record of 29 Test Centuries.
In his 99th Test Appearance(193-runs) the same year against England at Headingly, Leeds, Sachin surpasses “The Don’s” record of 29 Centuries. He scored his 30th Test Century.
Now only his mentor, Mr. Sunil Gavskar was ahead of him at 34 Centuries.
ICC World Cup 2003, Sachin scored 673 runs in just 11 matches – most by any batsman in a single World Cup. This achievement won him the player of the tournament (ICC World Cup) award.
Master Blaster scored his 12000th Run during the ICC World Cup against Pakistan.
In the year 2004, Sachin sets the World Record of becoming the 1st player in ODI Cricket to win 50 Man of the Match Awards.
The Little Master equals Sir Sunil Gavaskar’s World Record of 34 Test Centuries in the first match against Bangladesh. He became the thrid ranking player in the History, after Gary Kirsten and Steve Waugh, to score centuries against all Test Playing nations.
Year 2005 also becomes a year of great pride for the Master Blaster for completing 10,000-runs in Test Cricket in his 122nd Test Match at the age of just 31. Sachin surpassed Sir Gavaskar’s record of 34 centuries by scoring his 35th Test Hundred against Sri Lanka in New Delhi.
Sachin became the Asian Hero in 2006. He was awarded by the Time Magazine as one of the Asian Heroes.
Sachin was now the leading run scorer and had set a new record by completing 14000 runs in One Day International Cricket en route his 39th Century in his first one-day international against Pakistan in Peshwar. Sachin was leading the World Score Board of International Cricket and scored his 40th ODI Century at Kuala Lumpur against the West Indies during a tri-series competition also including Australia.
Master Blaster rested for the first time in his career, for the three-ODI series against Bangladesh. This was followed by back-to-back centuries in the following tests.
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar played his 400th One Day International in 2007.
In the 2008, Sachin becomes the highest run-scorer in Test Cricket at Mohali against Australia, surpassing Sir Brian Lara’s score of 11953 runs.
Sachin becomes the first batsman in the world to go past 16,000 runs in One Day International’s .
In 2009, Sachin was the first batsman to aggregate 17,000 ODI runs during his innings of 175 against Australia at Hyderabad.
Only the “God of Cricket” could hit a double-century in ODI Cricket. Yes, it was Little Master Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, who scored a double century in ODI Cricket in 2010 vs South Africa at Gwalior. It was a dream come true for Cricket fan’s not only in India but also around the World.
Sachin became the most capped player in Test Cricket, surpassing Steve Waugh’s tally of 168 Tests.
He also scored his 50th Test Century at Centurion against South Africa.
World Cup 2011 – Would this be the final World Cup our Little Master.
Cricket Fan’s all around the World were proud and in tears when our very own Master Blaster Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar held the World Cup after India winning the World Cup Tournament against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India.
Sachin also became the most capped player in ODI’s with the World Cup opening game vs Bangladesh, surpassing Sir Sanath Jayasuriya’s tally of 444 matches.
Sachin made the World Record of scoring 2000-runs in World Cup.
Indian Cricket Fans were filled with joy as our Little Master Sachin left his mark of scoring a 100 International Centuries in Test Cricket against Bangladesh on March 16, 2012.
Sir Sachin’s retirement on December 23, 2012 was a bitter pill to swallow. His 24 year long journey in cricket has inspired millions around the World to follow their dreams.
Sir Sachin played 463 ODI’s scoring 18,426 runs with 49 centuries, his highest score in a ODI was 200 not-out with an average of 44.83 in his cricketing career of 24 years.
& 200 Test Matches scoring 15,921 runs with 51 centuries, his highest score a test match was 248 not-out with an average of 53.78 in the cricketing career of 24 years.
