The Nazi leaders who fled from Germany were given asylum by many countries like South Africa, Argentina and Brazil, where they took all their ill gotten wealth, looted from the Jews and lived in the lap of luxury...Some were tried for war crime but the next generations live on and they are apparently a closed community . Many have gone back to Germany and have been part of skinhead movement started in UK, mostly in support of Hitler !

He was a decorated war hero, a vegetarian, did not smoke, did not drink and never cheated  on his wife. That was Hitler. Character is a complex phenomenon.

However complex is Hitler's character, it all belongs to him and to him only. But his character is an eyesore for the entire world.

In spite of all the resistance and opposition to Hitler and his regime, there are a great many people who want to bring in Fourth Reich , which according to western media is - "The simple aim is the restoration of the Reich in which a new storm trooper organisation takes revenge on anyone who disagrees with them,"

I have earlier given the example of Napoleon who was rehablitated after 100 years as a great " hero" of France. Nothing is permanent in this world. Our own Balasaheb, Thackeray was an admirer of Hitler. Even the great Bose has written favorably about Hitler and Mussolini. Frankly for 10 years India needs a Hitler to solve all our problems and instill discipline in the Indians.

To instill discipline, " Hitler Way " is not the only way. More than any thing "Self Discipline " is more effective than forceful Discipline.

I'm against Hitler way of instilling Discipline.

I agree that we need a  iron hand to rule our unruly masses but Hitlers kind of rule is definitely not the solution...On the whole dictatorship comes with its own grave problems because most of the dictators that the world has seen were psychotics ..

We all know about the fate of Dictators in History. There are several ways for a good governance. What all needed is enforcing the existent rules effectively.

Austria (  which is Hitlers birth place )  itself was seized by Hitler once he began his regime and started Nazism in Germany...But many Austrians  feel that Hitler was not bad. I guess the public opinion depends on many other factors ..

Austria doesn't make the entire world. The opinion on Hitler in majority of countries is nothing short of "Monstrous "

The dislike for Hitler is mainly from the western powers and Russia.   Many people admire Hitler. He was also a great leader of an army and  in due course will be bracketed with great soldiers. We must accept facts. Just talking of Monster. etc has no relevance. Look at in a dispassionate way . He formed the India Legion like the INA to free India. He supported Bose.. We Indian should not forget that

However hard sympathizers Of a monster like Hitler describe him as an angel Fact is He was a Monster, is a monster and remain as Monster. i pity them. It is not only Indians, entire world en-mass should forget him as a Bad Dream

You need to give the devil his due ...No doubt that he had some qualities that indeed helped him become what he was.If he had used them differently we would probably have seen a great leader who would have been lauded by everyone..

Hitler helped himself. His so called good qualities never helped others.  Even a Chambal valley dacoit prays and performs Puja before going to loot the people A racial maniac reaped fruits for his demonic qualities. His unceremonious death in his bunker made the world dance with joy.There were none to cry.

True....Also I personally feel that a monster is a monster, call him by any other name or praise any of his qualities, it does not change the fact that he caused deaths of millions of living human beings including babies, children, women, and had horrific experiments conducted on them in the name of science. There simply is no excuse or justification to explain any of his actions!

Dacoits cannot become angels despite his good qualities. These good qualities may help him in carrying out his looting successfully. Hitler's good qualities helped him to carry out the holocaust.

I agree Kalyani, that is the view of great many people but there as many people out there who feel that he did what he had to do and still adore and follow his party , in fact from what I have been reading and perceiving from my talks with people in Germany, Switzerland etc, the number is steadily growing.It is not just the neo Nazis, even the commoners feel a certain empathy for him...According to one person that I spoke to - how are Jews any better, the way they are butchering the Arabs in Palestine ? the world still symapthises with them and gives support..

I think the people who are showing empathy for HItler and his regime are the ones who may not have been affected directly by his actions. We need to know the age group of his so-called empathizers to understand what kind of mentality is at work here. I am 100% certain that people of an earlier generation can never never empathize with Hitler, Germans or otherwise. As far as the question of Arab persecution by Jews is concerned, they are only giving back to the Arab world what they have got in return throughout all these centuries.
