I wonder what would have happened if an Indian especially the so-called Bhagva Brigade member had said it?

She said it in 2005 but the message is still viral in social media

who said Bhagawa is only in India.  In fact, Bhagawa is nothing but Indian variant of American racism, German Nazism, fascism.  Nobody says that Bhagawa has monopoly of a particular brand of ideology.

I support the statement of Australian PM that immigrants should adjust to the style of the country they are emigrating to. If they want to stick to their own culture then they should not emigrate and stay in their country of birth. Immigrants other than under dire pressure of circumstances want best of all cultures without changing themselves. They generally want a good life usually created by natives.

Sir, you mentioned all "isms" under the Sun. But forgotten to add Patriotism, about wich the ex Australian PM talks about and stresses on the point that to uplift the Australian Patriotism is her prime duty.

What she said makes sense ...There is an old proverb ' When in Rome do as the Romans do... If people try to change things depending on their likes and dislikes there is bound to be clash ...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Here is a general question- What was wrong when Indian leaders/politicians wanted to regulate Bangladeshi infilitrators' behavior or leave the country. After all we have close to 40-50 million Bangladeshi illegal migrants in this country (which is more than double of the total population of Australia).

ABsolutely nothing wrong. "Adapt or Leave.". I liked the view of Usha, "behave like a Roman, while you are in Rome.".

There is nothing wrong with what Gillard said. It should be a stand of all the PMs of all the countries where the immigrants clash with natives and governments and refuse to abide by that country's laws. Isn't that exactly what happened with the fiasco in Sri Lanka where Indian government sided with the immigrants?

And many wise people may try to liken this stand with facism or nazism or even label it as a terrorism, but there is nothing wrong with a country trying to preserve its own culture and philosophy against the onslaught of immigrants' fanaticism.

Exactly Kalyani. Gallard's view as the ex PM OF a country deserve appreciations and it should be followed by all the heads of a country who care for their people's welfare.

With all due respect to Gulashan Sir, If keeping own country's traditions and self-respect is  racism, Nazism or fascism a country should have these in practice rather than falling on its knees and apeasing illeagal infilitrators for vote politics.

The issue in India is not like that of Australia.  We have refugees and not just immigrants.  Moreover, the countries- India, Pakistan and Bangladesh- belong to same subcontinent and have same or identical culture unlike the immigrants to Australia.

Our problems are unique. we need not discuss the issues in Australia or elsewhere. Most probably, these have little or no relevance to Indian conditions.
