Ok, here I go again starting another controversial topic. Many people including Ministers and MLAs keep complaining about free porn on the internet in India and stating that it should be blocked. But the surprising thing is that after 15 years of internet in India, porn sites are yet to be blocked by the Government! Do you support that pornographic sites should be blocked on Indian Internet servers?

We are talking about porn sites here, in most countries porn sites are no crime. If anyone thinks pornography is not for him, stop watching them or set your privacy to that level. One has no right to call it a crime. If it was a crime, I would say we all are criminals.

Seeing anything as a crime or otherwise depends on the society in which you were brought up. If you are brought up in a permissive society it's OK for you. It's not a crime to see pornography.
But it's one face of the coin, what about the other face?

The other face is - turn your face to the side where porn is not visible. You can't put a blanket ban on any site unless it's against the rules.

Society rules are there in which we move ,mix and mediate with your other society members.

That's where the catch is, no one watches porn with society or even family members so it becomes a personal choice where society does not interfere with your personal preferences.

will there be a place in the society where there is no interference ? Watching a porn movie behind my closed room is limited to me . But. I'm not the society. Its a group of individuals. Let's see the things in a larger canvas.

Yes it's your personal choice and you are not harming anyone else.
I think it is not possible to block them completely.. I mean there are many ways to access the sites even they ban the sites for Indian ip addresses.. There are many tricks available using people can access them even they are blocked. So it is hard to block them.
It is the same age old flow theory, where a person tries hard to find the middle path between, intensity and involvement, that is why, creator of one of most famous Apple store game namely Flappy Bird and Thessis have to be withdrawn because they are too additive.

So it contributes to the fact that Ponography can be blocked..

No it can't be blocked, neither there is any need of it. People not willing to watch can always stay away. As far children, they are responsibility of parents.

I meant Blocking not in terms of technological ways. It may be any way. It may be parental precaution. The aim is to see that it's ill effects are stopped or minimized.

Parental blocking is a must, otherwise, teenagers who are prone to these commit heinous crimes, and this can break their mind and create curve feelings and that can have damaging effects to society.

Parents can contribute in stopping this evil not to fullest extent. But it helps. There should be strict watch on cyber clubs, which are the havens for watching porn movies by those who do not own a computer .
With Windows 8.1 with standard account parental blocking is easier and can be guided through your mail and in case of Android if you have Android Kit Kat then standard account can be opened easily.

In my city there was a raid on most of the cyber cafes by the police. They canceled many licenses. Now the cyber cafe owners are extra careful about the activities of their customers. And they always ask valid IDs before allowing to use the computer.
Yes these sites should be blocked in India and other countries too because its like a crime and people inspire to do other crime from these sites.
People are always lured to forbidden fruit. Make it available easily, no one gives a dime. In countries like Sweden it's open and the surveys will tell you the viewing rate is almost nil.
