Yes it's your personal choice and you are not harming anyone else.
I think it is not possible to block them completely.. I mean there are many ways to access the sites even they ban the sites for Indian ip addresses.. There are many tricks available using people can access them even they are blocked. So it is hard to block them.
It is the same age old flow theory, where a person tries hard to find the middle path between, intensity and involvement, that is why, creator of one of most famous Apple store game namely Flappy Bird and Thessis have to be withdrawn because they are too additive.
