If you are a supporter of BJP you will paint Congress as villain and if you are a Congressman you will call BJP a rogue( Modi included). But a person who loves the people of India and wants their good will know that a particular brand of politics being played in India is more dangerous than anything. Any person belonging to any party who misleads the people, incites feelings of suspicion and hatred in one community of people against another, throws away all human values in his greed for power, resorts to illegal or immoral means to further his selfish interest is more dangerous. He may be anywhere and in any party. He is an opportunist without principle. His only principle aim is to sit on the chair of power that generates money , by hook or crook. It is this kind of politician that is more dangerous. Another phenomenon, that is dangerous is that the media which have unlimited powers, forget that they have to be impartial in presenting the truth, become the supporters of one or the other and become players in this mucky game.

I support your views. Can you extract oil from fistful of sand ? Impossible. The same condition applies to politicians. There is no politician who measures up to your stipulations in the present scenario . Regarding press, I'd say that barring a few the entire media acts as the mouth piece of one party or the other. Some political parties are running their own news papers and TV channels.. So you don't expect impartial views from the media.
The article seems to have been written by an ardent follower of congress, while he has faithfully maintained the congress stance of once again pointing out to the Godhra riots, but he has at the same time carefully omitted even a single mention of numerous riots that took place all over India over the period of 20-25 years while congress was in power and the only thing he repeatedly mentions is the massacre of Sikhs, what about other numerous riots?

I guess there are far too many misdeeds done by Congress which would take pages to mention, so they harp on one Godhra incident, not that it is not a serious offence but colectively through the years Coingress must have done a dozen times more....Any choice is better than bringing back Congress to power !

I am agree with you, after independence congress rules maximum time. I think nothing is wrong to give one chance to Modi. His performance is not bad in Gujrat.

Congress will of course fight as dirty as it can and they are experts at the game so we have to wait and see how thimgs shape up in the coming elections...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Yes most print and electronic media is owned by politicians either directly or indirectly. The blame-games are the only way of increasing TRP. They go to shameless limits while reporting a particular matter. That is obvious for everyone to see but that only gives satisfaction to supporters of the particular party, others feel disgusted and change the channel.

I still think media does not have huge impact on voters, I have heard about how 100 rupees distributed to voters mostly are of labor class to vote for a particular party in the recently concluded local body elections, and there are some other factors like, development and employment opportunities, I do not think religion never played any prominent role as considered by some political parties, it is the development and accommodation of opportunities that is gaining votes for them.

Yes it's the lower strata of the society that always get lured to small time advantages like money, hooch and food. That's why the agents of the politicians roam around the slum areas mostly in search of those who can fall for money. These people cannot understand the development and job opportunities.

There are many who influence votes- like village headman, caste group leader, influential people in the area. These people are 'satisfied' so as to secure votes of those under their influence.

Yes in villages the village headman has the final say. If somebody opposes they will banished from the society. Banishment in small villages is a big punishment.
