This seems a very difficult question as everyone needs different mobile for his/her specific needs. 10k is big amount for a phone today, good/very good mobile phones are pretty much available in or around 3-4 k these days.

It's a sort of Mob mentality. If they see other people are madly rushing towards a particular brand, people forget the cost and utility aspects suit them or not. To serve as a tool for communication, there are a plethora of Mobiles available for throw away prices, which are very much under Rs. 10,000,

When I see a iPhone wielding guy, I try to hide my smile because most of them do not know all its functions. Besides there are better phones available in far lesser price than what Apple charges for its name.

Is it touch screen and what is the operating system for it?

Yes it is touch screen phone with latest 4.2 android jelly bean version.. I haven't seen it personally, but I have check out its feature and specifications , and in this price range it is having best specification... Almost all other brands phone is having price around 15000 for this specification.

Dual sim, 1.2 Quad core processor, 1GB ram, Android 4.2 version, Rear camera of 8 MP, front camera of 1MP, SD card supported, 4.5 inch screen (which is big enough).

Frankly speaking I hate to spend large amounts on a mobile phone because for me it is just a phone and one can lose it at any time. I have lost 2 so far and have decided never to buy an expensive phone. The maximum I am willing to shell out for a phone is Rs 4000 or 5,000...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Sounds really good, I am thinking of gifting a smartphone to my husband and this sounds like the best fit, both for his needs and my budget too! Thanks a lot!

for my personal use too I hate to spend such huge amounts on a mobile phone. I do not like my phone to have any more than the bare essentials so for my personal need, I would never get a phone that expensive!
