So the verdict came finally, Sanjay will have to spend 5 years in jail for possession of illicit arm...he will have to stay in jail for remaining of his 3 and half years. He has 4 weeks before he goes to jail finally.
So, the adage, "Law takes its own course" has become true. A crime is a crime, done knowingly or unknowingly.

It also restores our faith in our country's legal system to some extent, I am glad that the judgment has even if it is late and may be a bit politically motivated given the timing when the elections are just round the corner..
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

I just want to know the number of times a person is convicted to jail just for keep and illegal weapon.
I think this is enough for someone.

He was convicted just once but came out on bail. Most celebs do it with their influence and money power but in this case Sanjay must face consequences which shows that the law is equal for every one. We must prove this to keep them under control.

Anyone can be punished only once for an offence. Sanjay Dutt has not been punished twice. Supreme Court has merely decided an appeal against lower court judgment.

That's why, the verdict was that Sanjay has to spend the remaining part of 5 years imprisonment. That is three and half years. It's a continuation of the old penalty.

Every one worth his name is trying to save him as if we have no rule of law but big guns must stay out. Why don't they forgive every one on mass and save Indian people a big relief by way of spending on jails and staff. Law- what law!
