Even I agree with it most of the kids to become like their parents or teacher. Definitely they influence them more. I have seen a child of a doctor always see him/her to be a doctor first though he/she may not be able to become when he/she grows up. :)

Yes children follow their parents first. Male child follow his father and female loves her mother, again female loves father and male mother.
