Half Kilometer tall !!!! :side: That's too big. I wonder how a person feel from the last floor, like sitting on a plane.

It is no doubt very tall, but there is one coming up in Saudi Arabia which will be One Kilometer long and it will be a commercial complex as well as offices ,hotels and a few service apartments not exclusively a residential complex...
Ohh.. Well, look like soon there will be competition for this thing also.. Too risky for earthquake zone.
WOW !!! :woohoo: :woohoo: This is amazing. We would like to very very big building in india. Feels good to hear that India is progressing in Infrastructure.
Sounds great but fearful too. I would never prefer to stay at that height in any case. I love my ground floor 2 BHK with a small set on first floor fine for me.Too big and high sounds weird somehow.
This is great but I too fear like Suny and won't like to live in such buildings as its not safe to live in tall buildings its my opinion.
Actually that high a place would make me spend too much on one time shopping because going for small purchasing would be tough job. Too time consuming.

But I feel these are not safe I remember an incident happened recently in Lalita Park Delhi in one of the high building.
Ha ha.. Yes sunil.. Even lift are not that fast.. So going up and down frequently can be headache in such buildings.. Unless some super fast express lift introduced. :D
Good to here that India is also developing in the field of architecture. However I still feel that corruption won't interfere as usual.. have seen the bad construction of flyover in cities like Bengluru
Just building tall buildings is not enough what about the infra structure and the added congestion coming from so many families living together in that space? I hope they look into that as well and the architecutral management is being done by foreign firms , not Indian..
Tallest building in the world? good news if true. The western already countries have some of the most tallest buildings in the world. :S

India has one of the best techniques in architectural field but this is all about tallest building and its utility. The overpopulated country is looking its refuse in vertical raised structures but they shall have to be very careful as Mumbai is situated on hollow grounds.
@ mala, I have already explained that this is not The Tallest building in the world rather The tallest residential building in the world. Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the tallest building as of now and a building that is one kilometers long is being build at Jeddah in Saudi Arabia which will probably be the tallest in the world after it gets through...there is also another building coming up in Shanghai which will be slightly taller than Burj Khalifa..
