What is facebook acccording to you ? I still don't understand what people do on it, and every one keep asking are you on facebook, as if it is very big thing, its become like status now a days

Facebook is simply a social site. This enables you to contact friends, relatives and others in a more convenient way. But if you begin too much socializing and spend hours needlessly gossiping, adverse affects emerge.

Well, as Gulshanji mentioned it is a social site where people can stay in touch with friends and relatives.. Actually it is good service but these days it is getting miss used, specially by young generation. If we use it wisely with all protection it is surely a good service.

part of the answer is well within the question you asked in the thread. It's social networking site with more hype and less stuff. Connecting the people is not an innovation of Fcebook. It was there well before the birth of Fcebook. Of course FB uses some sophisticated methods of linking the people in which I'm not interested..
In nutshell Face Book is more of hype and less of stuff.

I had earlier posted a response here which seems to have vanished along with other two responses ! Facebook has become popular since 3 or 4 years.Earlier in 2007 when I first signed up for Facebook, it was more like an affiliate site where most article writers had an account to promote their articles.I never used it as a social site but later when a few friends left comments on my profile and then I realised that it had become a platform for interaction...I am not a regular user and log in only when someone leaves a message or a coment .I wouldnt miss it if tomorrow for some reason it closes down..

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
