LPG restricted to 6 cylinders a year per year.

Now Govt declared to reduce some tax from 7th cylinder and Rs 100 will be less.

The Govt. has full planned to kill the middle and the lower class people.They just have no mercy for others.

Ultimately, government pays no body. The subsidy that we get on LPG is only out of tax collected from us. Some state governments have announced to give subsidy on three extra cylinders. This will also ultimately go from tax payer pocket. It is better to end the subsidy regime. Government should finish all subsidy and let market forces play. By reducing subsidy, the burden on tax payer will ease. Subsidy means- take by right hand and give back by left. This is of no use.

Yesterday in news it has been declared to give 9 cylinders to each family.So it has increased.

This is only in Congress ruled states. In other states, this is just six. The extra three are by state government subsidy.

This is not fair. All states should be treated equally.

What can center do about states? The non Congress ruled states will not agree to the Congress leadership directive to subsidize extra cylinders .

Where is injustice? Government cannot be responsible for bigger families. There is no disparity with states. Central Government will subsidize only six. Congress ruled states will subsidize three more. Let others ruling in non congress states decide about their states. UPA/ Congress can do nothing with policy of these non congress states.

From next year, there will be more measures to reduce subsidy. Those with monthly income Rs. 50,000/ and more will get no subsidized gas cylinder. Those below poverty line will also pay full value but subsidy will be sent direct to them in their bank account.

It seems there is a provision for joint families where you can show that few families are living together.I am not sure how they do it since address proof is mandatory, but one of our neighbors have 2 connections since there are about 16 of them living in the same house...Either they have not been caught yet or there is some provision...

LPG is important things for our kitchen.It would become very difficult to cook food without LPG.In big countries no other source are found for cooking food.It helps us in many ways.Govt.should not put such restriction in providing LPG.

And they are going to promote joint families with better bonding, they want you to eat and cook together for a better understanding. :whistle:

I doubt if any serious thought as regards the family structure and other relevant facts have been taken into account while drawing up this rule.They have a shortage and they have come up with a solution which is the easiest as far as they are concerned and what happens to people is their own concern.I have a feeling that they do show consideration if you can show that you are all separate units inspite of living in the same building,

I agree with you. Actually in Kolkata many people misuse gas. I was also shocked to know that CM has urged to provide 24 gas cylinders every year otherwise TMC ministers would resign. They have seriously resigned from the Cabinet.
According to me, government should change 6 to 10 cylinders every year. That's justified.
