We must stop burning of non-biodegradable materials, such as plastics- it can make our environment polluted.it effects the ozone layer. Depending on the plastic, it can lead to toxic fumes.

not just Carbon dioxide but other toxic gases too and the resultant acids that form drench into the soil and make the soil unusable!

Thankfully, at least now some positive measures are being taken in regulating the use of plastic by levying a charge for plastic bags in most established stores .Otherwise, one gets to see plastic being burnt along with other stuff which has definitely polluted our atmosphere . The toxic gases emitted are supposed to cause cancer ...

Now, since high restriction of plastics in our state, its usage has been reduced very much for the past 1 year.
I think, all other states should follow Kerala to implement such steps.

Obviously, the burning of plastic cause health hazard. The gas which comes out due to ignition is poisonous enough to kill us. It effects lungs badly. It causes air pollution also.

Even the smell when plastic gets burned is so bad that someone cannot stand at that place.Still I see people burning it to take out copper from the old wires as they find burning PVC is the best way to separate it from copper. :evil:
