Doctors are said to be highest professional. As regards professional qualification, this may be correct. But their conduct is generally not professional. They indulge in malpractices like colliding with hospitals for unnecessary hospitalization for more revenue, pathological labs for unnecessary tests and receiving gifts from drug companies through medical representatives. Recently, the Govt. have announced penal measures for acceptance of gifts by doctors. It appears right time for the govt. to consider other malpractices by doctors also. I wonder whether medical profession deserves any respect as the medical professionals indulge all sort of inhuman practices. In some cases, the patient was kept admitted even after death by not declaring him dead just for extra income. Honorable users please comment.

Medical and teaching professions which are held in the highest esteem by the members of any civilized society and are known to be noble professions have suffered grievously in the hands of some of the unworthy members of the profession who are completely consumed by their passion for making money.I did an article highlighting this. Thanks a lot for bringing up the issue here!

Survey says that 20% of our annual income goes for medical treatment.
And doctors are taking the benefit of that and India is a place where you can play with Indian's psychology to sell any product to them
