No number is lucky or unlucky. same number may prove good on one occasion and bad on another. The notion of lucky and unlucky numbers is superstitious and baseless. However, the gamblers and speculators seem to have some use for such notions- howsoever false.
Abid- thanks for understanding me. In fact, number game is nothing but statistical device. Number games are just gambling. some times, you gain. sometimes you lose. lottery is also like that.
You are saying may be right as per your view but in the world lot of lucky number lover so all can not be wrong. so there may be some fundamental and calculation about lucky numbers.
Mere fact of how many people believe in some thing is no basis for sound opinion. Although decisions in a democratic society are taken by majority, it cannot be said that majority is definitely right. The majority in India believe in astrology, palmistry, divine miracles, superstitions etc, This is no basis for us to hold al these as correct on basis of majority. I still hold that there is no such thing as lucky number. Statistically, things may happen in one way or the other. Thus a particular number may accidentally suit or not. I will give an example. many would see that only a person with "R" in his name can be Prime Minister. This was incidentally correct for past prime ministers. But the selection of Man Mohan singh proved that this is baseless.
Jasmeet and Anbul- you have very well explained that there are no luck or unlucky numbers as such. Thirteen is unlucky for west but not for Indians. Moreover numbers are only for convenience. To illustrate, This is year 2010 according to christian calendar. If some thing nice happens to some one, he may say No. 10 is lucky. But this year is different in Hindu Samvat or Muslim Hizri. If you see those calendars, lucky number will change.
