We are celebrating 60th year of parliament. Our parliamentary system is one of best in the world. However there are lesser sittings and more obstructions. These need be tacked by our parliament.

Of course there is no better system in democracy any where in the world but the way we are conducting the process is hard to believe. This is so non-presentable while it is in full swing. They act worse then nursery kids.

The political parties as well as government should give some training to new members on parliamentary procedures and ensure that there are not unnecessary disturbances. There are shortcomings but these can be corrected with some efforts.

And to make things still worse the senior members are more disturbing than the new ones. The experience has taught them nothing. They think -louder the show -better they look. That is disgusting.

The media is more responsible for encouraging disturbances in parliament. The disturbing and nuisance makers are highlighted more than serious discussion. Suppose that there is some small nuisance but serious matters are also debated. The media or press will give more importance to nuisance.

60 years is a long time but still there is no improvement in our democratic system.

There are always imperfections and there will always be room for reform. But we can't say that there is no onward march during last sixty years.

P.M. and other leaders in parliament stressed the need for better and more disciplined parliamentary proceedings.

Hope we get one of the best democratic system in the world in coming years. :)
No organization can work swiftly and systematically unless they know rules and stick to them strictly. They shall have to be ruthless with erring members without any discrimination, seniority etc.

In the first few decades, Congress was very strong organization and so the parliamentary system was smooth. Gradually, Congress became weaker and several other parties emerged stronger. Coalition era emerged. Most of the present difficulties are because of coalition politics. Let us hope that gradually, good traditions and norms of coalition politics will emerge and our parliamentary system will be strengthened.

In our Loksabha the speaker is the only person who speaks the least. She/he only tries to pacify the rude and unlawful members whole the time. They talk all kind of things but matters of public welfare and interest. They are always out there to show one-up ship, to prove their own importance in a comic manner.
