i think any of the BJP member can be made an prime minister
In the current scenario, no political party is like to get a majority on its own. The possibilities are of (1) Congress led coalition (2) BJP led coalition (3) Non BJP Non Congress coalition.
In view of absence of single party majority, Rahul gandhi may not be necessary choice even if Congress leads. Other parties may compel congress to support some one else. If BJP led coalition is formed, sushma Swraj may be Prime minister. If NOn BJP non Congress government is formed, there is no choice better than that of Mayavati. Of the above choices, Maya Vati is best with he vast experience, social justice commitment and proven administrative competence.
As per current scenario I am seeing that Rahul is doing well and can be Prime minister of India after some times but this time he is new and have less experience so if Sonia Gandhi will our next prime minister that is best.

Otherwise I think some one else will be prime minister like Manmohan singh will continue for next 10 Years.
Santosh Kumar singh- Rahul Gandhi has not just less experience. He has no experience. We had already Congress led governments, BJP governments and Non Congress Non BJP governments. Rahul Gandhi will definitely be Prime Minister if Congress gets clear majority on its own as Congress is nothing but Gandhi- Nehru Pvt Ltd. Of all the leaders, Maya vati is most promising and the politicians will do well to accept he as the next prime minister unanimously.
If congress gets majority then there is no other option except Than rahul gandhi because sonia gandhi is operating the party fully and she will definitely want her son should be the prime minister of India
soubhagya das- The congress will at best be largest party but without complete majority on its own. As such, there can be no certainty. Coalition partners will also have their say.
I think Rahul Gandhi only will be to became prime when congress has full majority in the parliament.Rahul is not taking any place in the cabinet i don't why.He is experienced person but i think still too young for Prime minster post.
Rahul Gandhi is more than thirty five years old. so he is eligible. As long as he does not work an executive- minister or deputy minister, he cannot be treated as experienced. Indira Gandhi had worked as Information & Broadcasting Minister and had experience. To be prime minister one should be more than 35 years old and have majority support.
yes sir you are right he is 39 years old and he has lot of majority support from his party as well as people of India but in my view he still is inexperienced for the post.
@Gulshan

When Rajiv Gandhi became Prime Minister under very tragic circumstances I don't think he had any ministerial experience!
Yes i am agree with you on Rajiv Gandhi's has prime minister but now i time is changed there are many problems which needs to solved out.I think like sonia Gandhi is not able to became prime minister like this Rahul Gandhi may can be Prime minister.
I don't think that Rahul will be next prime Minister. He is man of masses. He can do nothing as PM.What he has is just a son and grand son of politicians.Well experienced leaders are better as PMs of a country like India.
I think P. chidabaram is going to be good prime minister.
Let us widen the field of choice for the post of Prime Minister and not look to any particular family to find one.In this land there are many capable and talented leaders.
Anything can happen in politics! Rahul can be the next PM
on lighter side ,

Sharad Pawar can be next PM.
Chinmoy- It is right that Rajiv Gandhi had no ministerial experience. Chandra Shekhar had also no such experience. In fact, experience is not a condition for prime ministerial appointment. My remarks was in response to some comments in a post.
In fact, people elect members of parliament only. Prime minister is not elected by people but this depends on members of parliament and the political parties/ alliance thereof having majority. If numbers in parliament favour, Rahul or any one may be Prime Minister.
What is the motive behind discussing this issue at present? Is there any news that Mr.Manmohan is resigning?
