Sanjeev what is the meaning for paternal property. :( :( :(
It is a tradition but girls have same right to their parental property as per court.
Sanjeev, boys always over reacts and acts and even dominate women. If they say they have full share strongly then due to their domination girl may leave it . this is the boys plan
SJ.. As per rules girl shares the same right for those property with boys..

But it is Indian trend that Boys used to takeover the father's property as Girls left the home after marriage.
yes now even the law says that girls have a equal right on paternal properties like boys..

Yes i know its a law now but still girls are not given a penny from the father's property. They are treated as if they don't belong to that family after marriage when their is any property matter.
I guess we can't do anything about it.. Its all depend on Father's decision.. Don't you think so?
Customs or traditions prevail more. Unless you go to court for your legal rights, what you and family agree upon is final. Ours is patriarchal society. The girls are married and they go to their inlaws house. The dowry system, although bad enough, ensures that the girl takes her share while moving to inlaws. The boys remain in parents house and they share the property with brothers. Their wives also enjoy use of the parental property.
but if we see this from both side there is nothing wrong in it because when the girls go to their inlaw's home there they enjoy with the property owned by their husband after their inlaws as told by gulshan ji also so its all equal.
Then why there is this law. I know in most of the cases as girl also knows this that's she never asks for her share in the property. :)
In my opinion law must be same to all so there wont be no problem for all.

Law is same for all. We have to distinguish between common law that applies equally to all and personal law that is peculiar to a community. In national matters, there must be common law applicable to all. In family matters, the families can regulate their affairs as they like. Similarly, in matter of inheritance of property, marriage, divorce, law for Hindus, Muslims, Christians and some other communities, all have distinct personal law. This is necessary to allow each community to live according to peculiar way of living.
As,the girl will marry and will go to different home.
Then, generally,Girls don't ask for that paternal Property.
So,from this Boys had a clear,to go to their Paternal Property.
Yes.law is same for All boys and girls.
But,its the girls that don't ask for the property.
If the girl, want to get the property, she can have.

I think that the rules of Hindu Undivided family are relevant to division of property in Hindu community. Male members have more rights. The women leave the HUF and join their in laws.
I didn't got what HUF means?

As per my knowledge,Girls do have rights, that if Girl ask for the Property,Parents can't refuse it.

HUF means Hindu Undivided family. Property may be ancestral, earned by husbad or by woman herself. These are legal issues. each case is decided on peculiar facts. However, it will suffice to remember that girls are considered 'Paraya dhan' viz. others property and they ultimately go to In laws.

If girls take share, the dowry is also unlawful. There is lot of difference between what happens and what is law.
Because they love to live on their parents money. They sshould bee ashamed
