The increase in reservation period will enable better planning. But this will bring more difficulty to those who travel at short notice. Hence, in addition to reserved coaches, there should be more unreserved coaches for those who have to travel at short notice owing to emergencies. There is no alternative to increasing sitting capacity in trains.

I think this will decrease to 2 month.but it will increase to 4 months.Who know what happen after 4 month. Now a situation comes when all seats are full even 1 month before.this will increases the problem of passengers.who are very much of needs a seat in last moment.
Railways must concentrate on general bogies. SO there wont be any problem for people who has unplanned travel.

As told by Guslshan ji its right that long duration for reservation will cause a problem for those who need immediate travelling.
By taking these kind of steps Indian railways increases the problem for passengers. They must give focus on solving problem.on general compartments.Even many passengers does not able to sit.
I am sure this move is going to prove a bad one in place of helping the cause of passengers. Longer the time available, people try to take advantage of the facility in both ways, good and bad, more bad rather than good. I would prefer it to be 30 days at the most to avoid unwanted use of this facility.

Yes Sunil you are right. It must be restricted to around 1 or 1and half years this may reduce the problem that is facing by passenger at the end of last month.

There will be no misuse if there is proper identification of the passengers and middlemen removed. The passengers have to pay reservation charges and fare at the time of reservation itself. So, they are not likely to misuse this.
