Is Nano a good car in competition with Maruti 800?

I have been driving Maruti 800 for the last 8 years and think it is the best car in the small car segment in terms of maintenance, availability of spare parts and overall performance. I have not spend a ruppee on its repairs. Think Nano will be a competition for it?

I do not think Nano can get competition with Maruti 800. There are lot of fan of Maruti 800 but very less people like Nano.

Technologies are different in two cars.Maruti 800 is not available now.

Nano is not as good as maruti . Its engine failure chances are more i think .

The body of nano is fragile and cannot be used for inter city drives. One of my friends got his Nano car totally damaged in an accident. This shows how fragile the car is.

Nono car is the worst car the auto is better than this.If a motor cycle hit the car it will damage confirmly.

Nano is a good car,with comfortable sitting of 4-5 people in car,but i think maruti 800 is best in small segment. People even,now thinks maruti 800 as perfect. Its a car in small segment,where any car can't beat it.

NANO is uncomparable with 800 in any way. First of the NANO has many complaints due to cheap parts used in it. It is better to check some user reviews about the cars before planning to buy new one.

Ronark if you observe the reviews even now the feedback is not so good on Nano. I think it gets heat quickly and doesnt have good pickup as 800. As comparision is done here so i think its not comparable. But if you consider nano with some other similar cars then it may be great car for small family.

Nano can not be compared with MAruti at any case . Nano is the sound car with no long life.

Nope, I don't think Nano can give competition to age old Maruti 800.It is the basic car even today and I still remember when I learnt car driving,maruti 800 was the 1st car I tried my hands on.So I have special memory attached and so No to Nano.

that is a good obligation to the car which served our country for so many decades....well...nano needs to get the feel of the market to get itself competitive with maruti 800..

i hear that nano is only comfortable for 2 person travelling and also it sounds too bad while driving. even auto is better comparing to nano. Maruti 800 is best car in small segment. it has better feedback comparing to nano.
