It depends upon the personality of the person. He may be politician or an actor that doesnot matter much.

Film stars and government employees have distinct traits. The Film stars have some popularity that they may benefit them in electioneering. The government employees have administrative experience but they have little or no experience of interacting directly with people. Manmohan singh, P.M. is best example of a government officer becoming a politician. Manmohan Singh has administrative experience but he lacks the talent of electioneering.

The film stars and ex government employees may be assigned tasks in politics as suits their experience. The film stars may look after publicity and organizational work of political party and ex government employees should be assigned administrative tasks of ministers etc.

Actually I was against film stars becoming politicians. But, Gulshanji, thanks for explaining me the differences. Both film stars and ex-government officers can do well in politics.

A person who is not selfish and greedy. who understands peoples problem can become good politian. for example Jai prakash narayan.

Jai Prakash Narain was an anarchist movement leader. A politician is one who can provide leadership for constructively running a government. One who only gathers crowds and instigates people against government for whatsoever reason is not a politician in true sense. The true politicians were RajGopalachari, Pt Nehru, V.K Krishna Menon, Gylzari Lal Nanda, Dr. Lohia. Presently, Mamata Banerjee, Mayavati, sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Niotish Kumar are some of good leaders. Anna Hazare, Kejrowal are definitely not leaders in any sense. They are only negative and anarchist personalities.

Santosh- Team anna consists of only ex bureaucrats having voluntarily retired, some emotional poet, some swamis etc. who can hardly deliver anything. Team anna has no desire to work within constitutional frame work and contest elections or bring changes in legal, constitutional way.

However, if they can do anything good, they are welcome.

We have to see the hard realities. You cannot bring changes just by crowd pulling. We are a parliamentary democracy based on party politics. There is only one way to change and that is by joining the political parties and bringing change there.

Here I may remind of chakra vyooha in Mahabharata. The Pandava could not win unless they entered the chakra Vyooha. Hence they sent abhimanyoo to enter. If team anna wish to bring change, they have to enter the Chakra vyooha of party politics. It is no use remaining out of party politics and making unnecessary noises on corruption.

Again, by performing Ram Lila and burning Ravana effigy, you have not restored dignity of women and not stopped rape and kidnapping of women. How do you think that anna Leela will get more success than Ram Lila. Omcidentally, the venue of Ramlila and anna Lila is same viz. ram Lila ground in Delhi.
