Dis- advantages of mercy killing

Mercy killing provision may enable people to commit suicide by govt. sanction and also enable successors to get rid of a man by sanction of law. This may really be murder with government approval. So, provision of euthanasia or mercy killing should be very strict and adequate precautions need be taken

Mercy killing is done to the persons who are suffering a lot and cannot lead their life normally and this should be taken as an advantage of killing persons.

I don't think there is any disadvantage in mercy killing, only thing is that the relatives are more hurt emotionally

We have unfortunately a few cases when life ceases to be livable ,meaningless and undignified. Euthanasia can take care of these situations!

There are some advantages of mercy killing.This may give relief to those who has no chance to revive or suffering for long times.

The poor are not able to get treatment properly and so they get easy death even without mercy. I really pity the super rich who cannot live well because of the deadly disease and not die because of doctors. The prominent unluckiest rich who suffered this lack of mercy were Dhirybhai Ambani and Rajmata Vijai Raje Scindia. They are made to live on artificial life support system.

The mercy killing is necessary when life is acutely painful with no expectation of recovery.

I agree that it is done in some cases when the patient cannot withstand the pain and there is no chance to recover from the illness and sometimes when there is no alternate medical cure for the disease. Doctors often consults the patient's guardian and if they agree they do so....

I think it will be used to kill a human being without reason also.
