We all know How helmet is important to save from head injury but still most of the bike riders not using helmet.. What action government has to take in this situation ?

This is an old topic and members have expressed their views on this. Helmet is primarily for safety of bike riders. Wearing helmet is compulsory in many states. Government should only encouragew people to wear helmet for their safety and need not do anything more. If you yourself do not bother aboutyour safety, why should Government bother.

some of the guys donot wear the helmet as it does not suit their personality. but they do not understand its importance that how it contribute to their safety. so each of us who rides on bike must have helmet otherwise the government should punish them by taking their challans.
First, the importance and purpose of it should be understood by every biker.If it is done, every one himself will start wearing it.
Otherwise,I have seen in big cities like Delhi where the traffic rules are very strict, people just for the sake of avoiding the penalty,they wear plastic or cricket helmets also which defeat the purpose of wearing it.
