Many parents would have wished to become a doctor or engineer but they wouldn't have.So,they force thier child to become one which results in trauma.

The answer is painfully 'yes'! There are parents who look upon their wards as means to attain goals what they couldn't!!

Children are under stress from parents.BUt I don't think it leads to trauma situation.

Absolutely no doubt about it! Today's younger generations are traumatized by the over expectations by their parents and also the kind of mindless competitions seen everywhere!

Yes. Over expectation overburdens children and they need to overwork and suffer more if they do not come to parents' expectation. This is like overloading a donkey or making a horse run faster than capacity.

A few years back I woke up with horror while going through a report in the newspaper that a father hit his son in sheer rage as his young son was not able to execute a shot the way he wanted him to! And the son died on the spot!
