The experts and bureaucrats are permanent and hence constitute steel frame of of the administrative system. By allying with political parties, they risk not only themselves but the entire system. I will not say academicians because they are doing it as business not as service. Rather I will come them Academic Businessmen.
Everything in India is controlled by these politicians and its sad to know that academicians has also been added in the category.
