Why there are two types of electric lines in our house

Why there are two types of electric lines in our house. Power line (15 amp)and Light (?) line (5 amp).

In Power line we put ACs Fridge etc and on 5 amp line we put lights and fans etc.

What will happen if we use these electric lines in other way round

only one type of supply is coming in our house 230 V AC
fridge are using more power so they require high amp line for that so we are using 15A switch supply not changing. switches for fans and light have no long capacity to handle that power they are off 5A.

Thats fine Harish,

Voltage is 230 V allover India.

You have 2 separate electric lines one of 15amp and the other is 5 amp...

My question is- can we use fridge on 5 amp and TV on 15 amp?

Harish,
It is not possible.Both those lines have different guages.Accordingly the current flow will have difference.For high power consuming appliances higher rated is required else it will burn off.

The power current is for apparatus needing more ampere/ voltage. The other points like bulbs need less ampere. The other way will not suit due tto incompability. Also the power line is cheaper.
