Ronark, electric chairs are not used in India. In America, these chairs are used to execute convicted prisoners, instead of hanging, the prisoners are electrocuted on the grounds that it is much quicker and less painful process of dying.

Our voters are intelligent enough. Corruption is no issue with most people. They want their benefit. A corrupt politician may be more advantageous to people. How?
Just see the difference. An M.P. spends 60% of local area development fund and misappropriates the remaining amount. People are happy with development work and they will vote for the person. The M.P. also helps people in some other way and takes money for bribing the concerned department. He shares some of the bribe. People are happy because their area is developed and their various jobs are done. Contrast with the honest person. He surrenders all development funds and spends nothing. no development. This is because he is honest and no contractor and Department will cooperate with him. He also does not do any one's job. He is very honest but of no use. So, who will vote for him.
