I have observed that a number of threads have come up and more may in short time, only for writing some mantra or shloka evry day. These help members to get point without any useful contribution. Personally, I do not favor this trend. i do not understand what is the use of simply writing- hare Krishna- or Sai Sharanam- or any such thing except to give some points without any contribution. I may also add a thread by just writing- Budham Sharanam Gachhhami Sangham sharanam Gachhami- and ask others to also write the same daily and get points.
I know there are at least three or four such threads that can help me to gain 25 or thirty points without any contribution.
I hope moderators and others will ponder over.

Thanks Chinmoy,Meean.
Forum is a public place. People have their own likes and dislikes. They can choose the thread in which they can participate. One person's interest can not be imposed on others. We should be open minded.
Chinmoy rightly pointed out about the standard of some topics.
Meean correctly told to use forum/thread as a tool for prayer.
@MC
I will try my best to provide some information with the Mantra.
Thanks Friends..

Abid- You have not entered any post in manthra or shlokas for your religious belief. This is okay as far as your belief goes. However, all shades of opinion have their place in the site. all sorts of topics can be discussed. But what I do not appreciate is mere repetition of some words again and again. I feel that all have understood the significance of the discussion in this thread. Let us make our discussions more lively and fruitful.
Dear Friends,
May be the writer of the thread would have written it for points or replies may be for points, that is a different issue.
But when we write the names of great saints or guru, irrespective of whatever religion or ethnicity they belong to, we just recollect them in our minds, which is a very positive energy in our mind, in that way writing mantras can even be accepted scientifically as a good practice.
Just think, why we close wine shops on mahavir jayanthi and gandhi jayanthi. Does it means that it is correct to drink on rest of the 363 or 364 days in a year. Certainly not. It is a sense of gratitude and rememberance what we pay to that great people.
This is also something very similar to that.
Regards
Guru S Shivaa

A mantra is a specific combination of letters or words which has
some special meaning. If it is used in a particular manner it can create wonder. It is very powerful.
Each mantra is recited in a repeated and continuous manner. It creates vibrations in the universe which creates a pattern of rhythmic resonate in the mind of the seeker and consequently produces purity and desired effect. This science of mantra is very ancient and it is a great tool for concentration and meditation.

Well said Shiva. There are number of ways to use mantra. Writing name of the Lord or Mantra has been in practice from ancient time.
It is one of the way to remember GOD. If any body has glance over the name of the Lord, he will be benefited. So what to tell about the writing the name of the Lord, It's just beyond explanation. Any body can experience it irrespective of cast, creed and color. It's a scientific process. If anybody wants that experience he has to follow some process.

I don't have any reservation for that. As I told, Point is secondary thing. Even if no points , it is fine.
Point should be given only those posts which are contributing information. I request to the moderators just check how many threads are providing useful contribution. Only those threads should be eligible for the points.
Friends !Can you mention other threads which are not providing any useful information?
