Youngest convict of Nirbhya rape case release from juvenile home. Supreme court denied to retain him behind bars. It is failure of whole system of our country. It is slap on face of judicial system. Parliament failed in passing one bill. A crime for which four person sentence to death but one person became free to live life in his own way. It is not justice.

Even after passing of the bill, the criminal of Nirbhaya is still out of reach because the court cannot implement it from back date. But it is good that criminals from right now can be punished.

Good that the Bill has been passed, though the criminal of Nirbhaya will not come under the purview of the new Bill, I'm glad, hence forth criminals have to think twice before committing such heinous  crimes.

Bill is passed but in my opinion it is not fair. Juvenile will not peanlised with life impriosnment and death sentence.

No civilized person will appreciate such heinous things. There were a spate of protests all over the country. Everybody supported the Victims parents who protested at Jantarmantar  And the victims parents had gone to the Rajya Sabha too

All thing is right what you right here, but tell me after reading this new gang rape, no provision of death sentence and life imprisonment for minors criminals is fair.

No.It's not fair. I read the Dainik Bhaskar. There is no provision for Death sentence.Earlier when a woman who was mentally sick was  in Rohtak  in Haryana was gang raped, all the nine culprits were sentenced to death. But the present issue is related to lowering the age  of Juveniles who are above 16 years will be tried as an adult.

Correct. Instead of three years, minor can be confined for ten years. still there will be no death penalty.

It's in the discussion stage in the Rajya Sabha. For any amendments,it will be known after discussions only. But remember The victims' parents are satisfied with the new bill. Death sentence is ruled out.

When a bill is passed it is not one individual whose opinion is taken into account even if it is a parent who has suffered, there are many other considerations that need to be looked into ! However , Maneka Gandhi made a strong argument for passing of the bill and spoke well about the need for such a bill ,few other parties supported the bill , some of course opposed it. Gulam Nabi Azad of the Congress party made a controversial statement stating that only poorer section of the youngsters went in for rape not the richer class forgetting that there are any number of such incidents, trust a politician sitting in his fool's paradise where he cannot look beyond his own comfort zone and that of The Family he serves , to come up with something as ridiculous and insensitive as that !

It is not only the opinion of some politicians but even in this forum it has been said that the children who are made to work with the adults loose their innocence and in that way they commit crime. By saying this it gets established that children from poor family tend to such heinous crime because children from sound financial background will not work as truck cleaners and so on. That's not the fact because nowadays provocations are all around and a huge section of children in their early teens are very much spoilt irrespective of their economic condition.

Can there be any bigger and stupid statement than " Only Poorer sections of the Society will resort to rapes ? ". It shows how low is their level of knowledge about Society.

Gulam Nabi Azad also said that crime of these type may be increase after this new law. If crimes will increase with making law than it is good thing to remove all law. crime may be control. It is views of gulam Nabi Azad.

The bill is not for the satisfication of one parents of victims. It is to check these type of evils. In 3 day ago one person in one small town adjoining to my city rape and murder one 6 year girl.

I agree. Its not related to one individual case. But it sets a trend and check such evils of Rape and murder by Juveniles.

Of course His statements can be taken with a pinch of salt and left alone since it is just noise that he is making ...Why dint his party make any law since Nirbhaya case happened when they were very much in power in Delhi and at the center. They sat on it and I still remember the manner in which Sushil Kumar Shinde spoke about the case with a grin on his face as if it is an every day thing ! such was their dedication and today they have the audacity to criticise simply because the law has become a reality under BJP ..
