When Catholics and Muslims openly say that family planning is against their religion, what is wrong if Hindu leaders advise Hindus to have more children? I dont see anything wrong with it....In India everything that Hindu does is seen with colored glasses even when it is something that has always been there ! Most Hindu couple after marriage are blessed by elders - 'May your home be blessed with many children and grandchildren'....

In fact, religion is a divisive and obstructing element. Catholics and Muslims oppose artificial means of family planning. Orthodox Hindus also do. Even Mahatma Gandhi was opposed to artificial means of family planning. All religions have similar views.

However what differentiates Ashok Singhal's statement is that he fears Hindus being reduced to minority. Muslims and Christians oppose family planning measures not because of fear of reducing numbers. This day do on purely religious grounds. Mother Teresa would oppose artificial family planning measures even if Christians were the only community.

Muslims have more children with the intent of increasing their population. In fact there was a time here in Kerala and bordering Krnataka when there was something termed as love jihad  , where a musilm youth befriended and got a girl to mary him after converting her, it is the same in Catholism where a hindu almost all the time gets converted and never the other way round. There was a huge outcry and quite a few couple were caught ...I doubt if Hindus are that desperate, so the only sane thing that Hindu leaders can do is to advise the Hindus to have more children which is not harmful...

Love jihad is very much rampant even in Maharashtra and it is done with the sole intention of corrupting Hindu girls. For this purpose, the religious leaders give financial assistance, provide their community boys with good clothes, bikes, etc so that they can take Hindu girls out and upon their successfully 'corrupting' these girls, they are paid a bonus, the higher the caste of the girl is, the higher is the amount of the bonus they receive. Mind you, this is a plan where they are only required to 'corrupt' the girls and not marry them, marriages occur only in very very rare cases!  So if this is not intentional malice towards HIndu community, I don't know what else can it be?

Yes Kalyani, that happens here too ..Last year there was a case where the Bajrang dal people caught hold of a couple who were planning to elope to Kerala and as for the girls version get married there.Later it was found that the fellow was not only married but was a pimp and was planning to take her to Mumbai...But the police simply shut the case since it involves a minority and made much of the Bajrang dal infringing on personal freedom. No doubt that outfits like Bajranj Dal get carried away most of the time , but here it saved the life of a young girl..
Bjarang dal and related activists most of times does this after request from parents or locality but that incident painted in different manner in national media, this example is one such glaring one.

In some incidents it does happen that way like it hapened here at Mangalore in the pub incident where apparently some parents had asked the Bajrang dal activists to create problems...But the parents and the general public dont realise that they are encouraging unruly and criminal tendencies in people , which is not the right thing to do as responsible citizens...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

If some thing wrong happens and parents need help, they need contact police and not the Bajrang Dal activists- the Hindu taliban.

It is more to do with what they are not sure of and to a certain extent parents dont want their hildren go to pubs especially girls and since there is no complaint as such against anyone they take this way out, asking the help of certain groups who go beserek and create more problems...

That is true, Bajrang dal is part of Hindu outfit RSS or at least follows its trends and that has helped keep Hindus and their culture alive till date. People have tried their best to have it banned on false allegations but they will not succeed in their ill designs.

What's wrong with Bajrang Dal if it directs it's efforts to keep Hindu culture alive in the birth place of Hinduism?

There is nothing wrong with it's ideology but it is their violent ways that causes problems.

Some people understand only that language. Because despite warnings in a friendly way, these Valentine Lovers continued to repeat their amorous ways under the street lights amidst dwellings, Bajrangdal is forced to resort to violent ways.

I fail to understand what bajarang Dal has got to do with what the citizens do lawfully or even unlawfully. Celebrating valentine day is not unlawful. even If there is some vulgarity or anything unlawful, it is the police and not bajarang dal who have authority. Moral policing itself is unlawful. Needless to say that such activities of Bajarang SDal/ other outfits of RSS equate them to Taliban.

If the police is the authority and If the Moral policing is unlawful, Why the police is looking the other side seeing the moral policing of Bajrang Dal?

Police doesn't interfere with Bajrang Dal because of their political connections.

If the police doesn't interfere due to political connections, it doesn't have the right to term Bajrang Dal's activities as unlawful.

In Agra, Police does not allow Bajarang Dal to terrorise anyone. But Police appreciate cooperation by Bajarang Dal in nabbing cow slaughterers. This is okay. We should all (including Bajarang Dal) cooperate with police and not take law in own hands.

In AP Bajrang Dal deals with amicability or harshley according to the situation. The Valentine Lovers are breaking the street light bulbs in order to carry their amorous activities. For them Bajrang Dal reciprocates in the harshest way. All Bajrang Dal activities cannot be dubbed as unlawful. Here Bajrang Dal has ample public support.
In Odisha at my native place and in most places their role is different they watch the streets and ladies feel safe even in midnight and it seems perceptions are different in different areas.

If they are watching the streets and making them safe for women, I think it is very much admirable and a great job that they are doing. all activists from other parts should learn this at least, instead of just hassling couples, make the streets safer for all.
