Photography is bad except for statutory purposes like passport, PAN card. so says Deoband Islamic institution. When pointed out that this is allowed in Saudi Arabia also, they say that what they say is correct and everything in Arab world is not Islamic.

India is democratic country and they are citizen of it. They have right to do any thing. When photography is good for statutory purpose why bad for other purpose. We can say on it "Gur se Dosti Gulgley so Perhej"

My belief is growing by the day that we need two set of laws, courts, governmental system in our country if not more. That will solve all its present problems. You know our country was declared a secular state at the onset of freedom now we are one of the most communal states in the world who can easily beat known/declared religion based countries and still growing. It is free for all, say what you like, unchecked, as long as you are a vote bank.

There is only one law. That is why even Deobandi Fatwa cannot eliminate need of photograph for passport. Any one is free to photograph for other purposes. If somebody does not like photography, this does not matter. It is also a consumption item. You may eat rice or wheat, meat or vegetables as you like. similarly about photographs.
But most Muslims do not accept Deoband Fatwa. You may see so many Muslims sharing family photographs on Facebook.

It is not possible to accept it. In Bolloywood top three actor are muslim, can they accept it. All are rubbish thing.
When they are mentally conditioned to live in the eighth century why do they even need things like passport, pan card or identity cards? The double standard shows clearly ...they can twist and turn their own fatwa or whatever it is to suit their convenience ! Honestly the way people manipulate religion is mind boggling...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Yes you may eat whatever you like and also you can do whatever you like as long as it is personal, limited to you only or not clashing with statutory rules. But orders coming in form of Fatawas from different religious groups (all religions included) causing a big harm to this country. Fatawas do matter most to illiterate classes and in villages who obey them by last word and have never heard about Facebook.

This is true about every religion. What is written in scriptures or is stated by the religious authorities affect people. However those who apply their mind are on safer side. What can be said about blind followers. ? Just see what happens to 'Sant' Asha ram's followers. Some of them had the curse of their daughter raped in religious ritual.

Gullibility is omnipresent. Where gullibility is there there is exploitation.

Oh yes, I agree there certainly are cases of forced sex due to such acts where women or even men being mistreated due to such people. We daily hear about Bengali tantriks and babas in our areas, who can take all evil away for a heavy fee and end up looting, raping, running away with women and hurting believers . These babas are neither Bengalis nor tantriks but illiterate thugs in most cases operating from rented rooms. I hope you remember you started a thread stating how they made a Fatwa that allowed their women to go for sexual fulfillment of Jehadis. This is ridiculous, unsocial and unwanted.
