Abortion is certainly inhuman and against order of nature. Most religions prohibit this as every life is valuable. But what when pregnant woman is herself in danger. Is it wise to sacrifice her life for the sake of yet to be born baby. Unfortunately many countries are too rigid.

It is so horrible that some mothers are little girls as young as 10 years old! Once again it has been proved that women's life has no value at all, they are mere baby producing machines and if they have to die in process, so be it!

It needs be pointed out that such rigid anti abortion law is not in India. This is in several other countries that follow Christianity strictly.

Advanced and modern- This looks funny when you refer to any religion. The Christian are most orthodox. Modernity comes from shedding religious dogma. Now a good number have stopped going to church and refuse to accept many Biblical sermons. There are more atheists in U.S.A. than India. This is supported by so many internet site groups pertaining to atheist.

It is Catholics that dont agree with abortion...Christians( protestants) are not too rigid about it...Many of European countries are Catholic as well as some South American countries where abortion is illegal ! They should have an alternative when the situation demands it...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

I think abortion can be done in the early days of Foetus but it is not advisable in the later stage ie after 6 or 7 months. In this stage abortion is very dangerous for both mother and yet to be born baby. But if the mother's life is dangerous , I think most of them will sacrifice yet to be born baby for the mother.
When The mother's life is in danger and if the doctors feel so, going for abortion is the wisest option.
When The mother's life is in danger and if the doctors feel so, going for abortion is the wisest option.

The issue is that the wisest option is not acceptable in certain countries that follow Christianity blindly.

It's ok. We in India have that opportunity thankfully, though the Hindu scriptures say, " Sishu hatya maha paatakam"' fortunately we refused to pay heed to the outdated view.
