he is not 10 or 12 year old. His age is more than 17 years. What is difference between 17 and 18 year. A person who age is 17 years and 10 month in innocent for a crime but just after competing 18 year he is faulty for that crime. What happen with in 2 months. It is not fair.

You have to draw a marginal line everywhere even if the marginal case may bring anomaly. You have to fix some age for education level, marriage, crimes and so on. Similarly, you draw boundary between countries. There you cannot argue that just a KM far, the country will be different. What is there in a mile. I do not know how you can manage anything without drawing some margin or boundary.

Sir boundries are to make and save the system, not to break the system.. People take due advantage of such system and hence they should be punished...

On the question if under 18 should be treated as adults in criminal matters, these youngsters have access to everything adults have. Most of the youngsters do what adults do in terms of sexual and social activities. But when the matter of crime even brutal crime comes they are treated as juvenile. This is a big mistake and should not be acceptable. They deserve the same level of punishment as adults do and should be tried for murder if they have committed murder.

We can see how people are taking advantage of this very law..in the latest gang rape case of Mumbai one of the rapists grand mother says that they will appeal since he is under age...So now we are actually encouraging minors to commit rape and get away...

apparently, now boys get mature earlier than before. I favor changing the age of juvenile to fifteen years.

He deserves punishment irrespective of his age. If he can commit rape so savagely, he can withstand punishment as well. He must pay for what he purchased to let others know that you are not going to roam free if you do not behave.
