What is Common Sense?

Even I agree being so common people don't use their common sense these days. :woohoo:
Because they don't agree to the fact that they are common people.
Even I agree being so common people don't use their common sense these days. :woohoo:

It’s a misconception that common people lack common sense and it’s the prerogative of extraordinary people.
Once Sir Isaac Newton called a cage maker and asked him to make a cage with two entrances. One big entrance for his big cat and a small entrance for his small cat.
The perplexed cage maker said, ‘Sir, don’t you think one big entrance will do the needful?’
It goes without saying that Sir Isaac Newton was all praise for the commonsense of the cage maker , which he lacked.

Did you hear about the one when visitors in a museum were told about two skeletons one big another smaller as being that Of Akbar's
One when he was child and the other when he grew up.
Only a few smiled rest of them took it casually.
It's a joke but tells you a lot about common sense.

But that's true people lack common sense which I think is more important than intelligence and knowledge.

Two quotes I liked about common sense ..
1, It is a thousand times better to have common sense without education than to have education without common sense.
and
2, Nothing can be more contrary to religion and the clergy than reason and common sense.

True....The first one reminds me of that old tale where four young men who are returning home after completing education encounter a skeleton of a lion. To show off their knowledge two of them create the lion's bones and flesh and the third one is about to make him alive. The fourth one who is the only one with common sense advises them against doing so, but they laugh at him calling him a fool and dimwitted. He then climbs a high branch up a tree while the other three proceed to make the lion alive who then wakes up, gives a big roar and kills them all in one instant! Education without common sense is exactly like that, dangerous to the hilt!
