The Chief minister belongs to C.P.I.(M). According to rules of party, salary drawn by party members on elective posts is really of the party. So, the C.M. gives all his salary to his party. The party gives him some money for his personal expenses. The officers get salary as usual and they may be living good and expensive life.

CPI-M is only party in India, which has yet to face a major charge of corruption. They have certain rules for their members to follow those help them to stay away from corruption. This example is worth following by leaders of other parties.
