YA ronark i heard in childhood that those who have more money there heart is small and those who have less money whose heart is big.
Earning less than Rs. 90,000/ P.M. is sign of poverty among parsis. This is because poverty is relative term. If all your brothers earn about Rs. 50,000/ P.M. but your income is Rs. 20,000/- P.M. only, you are relatively poor. That is why it is said that an individual is not so unhappy with his own lot but he is unhappy with others' good fortune.

Or they have their own standards of gauging poverty. We think 20K is good enough but they think 90K is sign of poverty, they have set their income standards higher than average Indians.

It very tough for surviving in parsi community then... :P however soft engineers can survive as in India they only get more than 90K per month..
Not only soft engineers but other branches as well. Also MBAs are well enough off. As far Parsis, they are mostly in Mumbai and having lots of property and money landing business and other big business with total sincerity. Tata is one of the many such examples. They do to perfection whatever they do.
